Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State yesterday faulted critics of his proposed cargo airport project, saying such persons were either ill-informed or were outright mischief makers.
Ortom told newsmen in Makurdi while commissioning six medically equipped ambulances for the use of some local government areas in the state, that his administration was not committing any money to the airport project as it was purely driven by the private sector. “All over the world, the economy is driven by the private sector. We are encouraging this in all sectors, such as health and education. That is what we have now brought to the transport sector. The cargo airport is completely a private sector business. Benue has nothing to lose on this project,” he said.
