The Niger State government says it is addressing all hindrances that inhibit easy access to essential drugs for ailments like malaria, HIV and tuberculosis.
To this end, it said it would give all the support needed to enhance the success of the Nigeria Supply Chain Integration Project (NSCIP) aimed at addressing logistics management supply problems in the health sector.
The Commissioner of Health, Dr. Mustapha Mohammed made the commitment during Niger State penetration visit and logical management coordination meeting yesterday in Minna, saying collaboration between the NSCIP and the Department of Food and Drug Services (DFDS) of the Federal Ministry of Health would enhance easy access to drugs.
The leader of the team of NSCIP to the state Henrietta Bakura said the team was on advocacy visit over issues relating to supply of essential drugs.
