Literary journal launched with essay by Helon Habila

The Village Square Journal, a new journal of literary/political criticism launched on February 15 with an essay by award-winning author and academic, Helon Habila.

Habila’s essay focused on Israeli occupation of Palestine and the Israeli Separation Wall running across the Israeli-Palestinian border.

A poem was also published that addresses the strength of women by Toni Stuart and another on immigration and the fate of migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea by Richard Inya. In addition is a conversation between two editors of The Village Square Journal and editors of The Temz Review.

There is also an interview with Patrice Nganang, the Cameroonian Professor and Writer who was recently incarcerated by the Cameroonian dictator, Paul Biya and many more, including fiction and opinion pieces.

The Village Square Journal publishes fiction, creative nonfiction, political and religious essays, book reviews, interviews, and poetry among others.
