Two Fulani herders who allegedly killed one of their kinsmen were arrested by the police in Ogun state yesterday.
The two men, Abdulahi Anaruwa and Mohammed Suleiman, met the deceased, Garuba Mohammed while grazing his cattle with two others when they lured him into a nearby bush and inflicted machete wounds on him on October 28.
The Ogun State Police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who described how the suspects were uncovered, said, “Luck ran against them when a commercial motorcyclist saw them and alerted the people of the area who in turn called the police. The DPO of Owode Egba CSP, Sheu Alao, hurriedly led his men to the scene and the two suspects were promptly arrested.”
