The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board is targeting 3000 intending pilgrims for the 2018 Hajj exercise.
The Executive Secretary of the board, Mr. Mufutau Okoya who disclosed this assured that the safety and welfare of the pilgrims is guaranteHe spoke when the Commissioner for Home Affairs and Amirul Hajj for the state, Dr. Abdul Hakeem Abdullateef addressed staff of the agency.
Daily Trust reports that no fewer than 1, 999 pilgrims performed the exercise from Lagos State in 2017.
As at the time of filing this report, it was learnt that over 1000 intending pilgrims have already registered with the board.
