Seagull swoops, steals student’s ice cream right out of her hand

A student caught the moment a greedy seagull swooped to grab a beakful of her seaside ice cream.  Dalyntara Tara Dalyntara, a postgraduate student from Thailand, was shocked when a gull dived in to her picture-perfect dessert in Brighton at the weekend. “Only three seconds then it’s gone,” she wrote on Instagram  “I hope the bird took that ice-cream cone too and used it to build its nest.” In July, an 18-year-old was airlifted to hospital after falling off the pier in St Ives, Cornwall, when she panicked as the gull tried to steal her ice cream.
