This jackal’s in a bit of a flap! Hunter fails to snap up tasty snack

This incredible snap shows the moment a hungry jackal tried and failed to snare a tasty bird for dinner. The unlucky jackal laid in wait as it stalked his prey, before leaping through the air towards the unsuspecting birds at the waterhole in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, on the border of South Africa and Botswana. It flew through the air, splashing into the water and baring his razor-sharp teeth as the ravenous jackal attempted to catch the birds. Sadly the jackal went hungry, as the quick-witted birds were too fast for him.
