The zonal youths forum of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has demanded an apology from the Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Jimoh Moshood for allegedly calling Benue State governor Samuel Ortom “a drowning man”.
The youths, who said that the police spokesman should apologise within the next seven days, also called for his sack over the allegation.
A statement signed by the APC North-central zonal youth leader, Comrade Terver Aginde, on Thursday in Abuja, tasked President Muhammadu Buhari to overhaul the security agencies in the country.
The statement particularly asked President Buhari to stop the killings in the North-central states to fulfil his campaign promises.
“We cannot believe that under President Buhari’s government that we know of discipline, honesty and integrity, will allow an officer to be disgracing and tarnishing the image of the government,” part of the statement read.
