The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has blacklisted 47 secondary schools in Kogi State from participating in its 2018 examinations over alleged involvement in examination malpractices.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Rosemary Osikoya, disclosed this yesterday at a ministerial press briefing organised by the Kogi State Bureau for Information Services and Grassroots Sensitisation.
The commissioner did not mention the names of the affected schools but said they were mostly private.
She expressed worries that the state was taking the lead role in examination malpractices and urged all stakeholders to collaborate with the government in stamping out the menace of examination malpractices.
