Kano Pillars midfielder Rabiu Ali has expressed confidence ahead of tomorrow’s mouthwatering clash with title rivals Enyimba in Aba, saying Masu Gida will be going out for a victory to avenge last season’s 1-0 loss at the their hosts ground.
In a chat with SHOTS yesterday, the player popularly called Pele by his numerous fans added that the Kano based club’s season is still on track despite recent setbacks.
“We are going there to win, I know it’s going to be a tough game because playing Enyimba isn’t easy but we believe in ourselves.” Ali who alongside Ifeanyi Matthew and defender Jamiu Alimi are part of the three Pillars players selected by the League Management Company for the NPFL- La Liga all-star game billed for next month in Spain said.
Enyimba are currently two point below Coach Babaganaru led side on the log but having played two games less due to continental commitments, a win in tomorrow’s tie will see the People’s Elephants overtake their arch rivals on the NPFL table.
