Jaiz Zakat and Waqf Trust Fund has dispensed N3million Zakat to 60 indigent persons in Taraba State.
The Chairman of the fund, Alhaji Umaru Abdulmutallab, in a message during the distribution in Jalingo called on wealthy Muslims in the country to pay zakat in order to assist the poor.

Represented by Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the fund, Ambassador Adamu Babangida, Alhaji Abdulmutallab noted that when the rich pay zakat, the poor will be free of social problems being witnessed.
He further stated that social crisis facing the country was caused by poverty and payment of zakat and assisting the poor will help reduce tension in the country.
