An auto crash yesterday claimed two lives, and injured 60 people on the Potiskum-Damaturu highway in Yobe State. The accident occurred around 9:30am.
One of the survivors, Adamu Muhammad, said 62 of them boarded a Mitsubishi truck from Potiskum to attend a wedding at Ibra village when the accident happened.
“The driver lost control and veered into the bush. We were 62 in the vehicle, mostly youths,” he said.
A source at General Hospital Potiskum confirmed receiving two corpses and sixty injured.
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Potiskum confirmed the accident.
