… NITDA to train students on ICT

Secondary school students in Abuja will be trained today on Information and Communications Technology by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) as a Children’s Day gift.
A statement yesterday by the coordinator of the training, Mr. Charles Ozoemena, said the training would also inspire the students to embrace ICT as a tool for wealth creation and national development.
“The workshop, billed to take place today in Abuja, is aimed at not only stimulating the consciousness of the students on what they can use ICT to achieve as future ICT experts, but also strengthen the children’s ICT awareness with a view to catching them young to embrace ICT as part of their growing up”, the statement said.
