4 die in Gombe auto crash

Four people have been killed in an auto crash that occurred at Lakwame village in Kaltungo Local Government Area of Gombe State, along the Gombe-Yola highway.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Gombe State Command, ASP Ahmed Usman, said the accident involved a white colour Mark trailer with registration number JJJ 624 JLX, driven by one Ibrahim Aminu of Minna, Niger State, and a Vectra car ash in colour.
He said that both vehicles, which were coming from two different directions, had a head-on collision at Lakwame village when the trailer developed a mechanical fault and veered off its lane.
Usman said four persons, including the driver of the Vectra, died in the process and their corpses deposited at the mortuary in Kaltungo General Hospital. He said investigation had commenced on the incident and advised the public to observe traffic rules.
