Rain destroys houses in Gombe community

A downpour has destroyed houses, schools and shops and rendered many people homeless in Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State.
A member representing Billiri south Constituency Mr Rambi Ayala stated this yesterday while speaking under matters of urgent public importance in the state House of Assembly. He urged the state government to assist the victims.
Some of the lawmakers Ahmed Usman Haruna, Bature Usman Gwani and Mohammed Bello reminded the House of the state government’s failure to repair the two washed away bridges in Mallam inna  and Anguwan Madaki .
They said the House had deliberated over the bridges and sent recommendations to the state government last year, but that nothing had been done by the government.
