The Arewa Integrity Youth Forum (AIYF) and the New Initiative for Credible Leadership (NICL) have condemned former Lagos State Governor and a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu over comments berating the Minister of State for Petroleum Mr. Ibe Kachikwu on going fuel crisis in the nation.
In separate statements Monday in Abuja Coordinator of the AIYF Mallam Ibrahim Abubakar and NICL chairman Reverend Steven Onwu expressed support for the ongoing reforms in the oil sector saying the advent of Kachikwu has cleansed the oil sector of cabal which has over the years held the sector hostage.
Abubakar said Nigerians understand the current situation in the supply and distribution of fuel to reach everyone and this is the major reason why there have not been protests or uprising as was the case in the past.
“We are today bewildered at the manner of double talk a revered leader in the caliber of Tinubu could engage himself, not minding his stand and position in the polity. Has he so soon forgotten that he advised Nigerians to be patient with this government because the previous administration had caused so much damage which had to be cleared? What has changed soon?” he said.
