OSGOF partners Aviation College on staff training

The Surveyor-General of the Federation, Ebisintei Awudu, has called for collaboration with the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria in the area of training of its staff in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or Drone usage for the purpose of acquiring geospatial data (digital aerial photographs) in difficult terrains.
Surv. Awudu made the call when a delegation from the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, led by the Head, Flight Simulator Department, Capt. Abbas Ambursa paid him a courtesy call in his office.
He said with the challenges of insurgency facing the nation as well as the hazards involved in accessing some of the inaccessible terrains in some parts of the country, there was the need for the provision of maps and charts to empower the security operatives in its continued fight to curb terrorism and other criminal activities.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Capt. Abbas Ambursa, said the visit is to seek collaboration on the possibility of acquiring flight values, operational and navigational maps for flight training purposes.
