Agan who is also Chairman of the Committee of CMDs and Medical Directors of Federal Tertiary Hospitals, said, “Two died on arrival at the hospital. On the whole, three persons died on day one while the fourth died the following day. Two out of the four victims brought in critical conditions have been discharged. Virtually all of the victims have been discharged except five who are all doing well.’
He said that the UCTH health team had been taking care of the victims of gas explosion, that treatment had been without charge. “Every expense is borne mostly by the UCTH and occasionally by the CBN,’’ Agan said.
