Hong communities receive 9 trucks of relief materials from NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has presented nine trucks of relief materials to liberated communities in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The Director General of NEMA, Sani Sidi said the donation was meant to assist displaced residents who returned to their homes.
Sidi who was represented by the NEMA Coordinator in the state, Sa’ad Bello said the donation was the second of its kind in the state. “The first phase of the similar donation was in Mubi and the agency has concluded arrangement to reach Maiha ,Michika and Madagali local government areas for similar donation,” Sidi said.
He called on members of the distribution committee as well as local government officials to ensure equitable distribution of the items.
Receiving the materials on behalf of the returnees, the Head of Service of Hong area, Hamidu Misi commended the federal government for its commitment to ending insurgency.
The donated items include 600 bags of cement, 1200 bags of rice, 2400 bags of maize, among others.
