Equities close higher by N56bn

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closed positively yesterday as market capitalization appreciated by N56 billion.
The general equity value rose by 0.63 per cent from N8.853 trillion it opened to close at N8.909 trillion.
In the same vein, the NSE All Share Index appreciated by 162.99 basis points to close at 25,899.91 basis points, compared with the 1.09 per cent depreciation recorded previously.
Market turnover closed negative as volume declined by 0.31 per cent against 15.74 per cent uptick recorded in the previous session. Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and Zenith Bank Plc top market value list.
Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc leads the list of active stocks that recorded impressive volume.
