The Campaign Director of Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo in the 2015 general elections, Senator Sa’idu Umar Kumo, has on Monday left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Senator Kumo who represented Gombe Central at the Senate between 1999 and 2003, announced the withdrawal of his membership from the PDP while addressing a press conference at his residence in Gombe.
He said he left the party due to irreconcilable difference between him and Governor Dankwambo who he accused of pushing him out of the PDP.
Kumo said he will write to the party officials from his ward and state level to inform of his decision to leave the party.
“I feel I was not needed in PDP by Governor Dankwambo and his surrogate who teamed up to force me out of the party. I therefore, leave to give chance to all those who feel that I am a stumbling block to them,” he said.
Senator Sa’idu Kumo, however, said he is consulting widely with his supporters nationwide on his future political destination.
