British-Nigerian actor Emmanuel Imani is set to premiere his debut Hollywood movie ‘Criminal.’
The movie stars Imani alongside Oscar Award winners Kevin Costner and Tommy Lee Jones, as well as BAFTA Award winner, Gary Oldman.
Hailing from South London, Imani kicked off his acting career in 2013, making his theatre debut as part of the critically acclaimed play ‘A Thousand Miles Of History,’ which was directed by Harold Finley.
He made his feature film debut in 2014, alongside Chris Pine and Oscar Award nominated actress Keira Knightley in ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.’
In 2015, Imani starred in British independent feature film ‘Invisible Men,’ which premiered at the 2015 British Urban Film Festival.
The film saw the actor play a Nigerian immigrant who invites his friend from Nigeria to travel to London to start a new life.
His upcoming movie includes ‘Servants Quarters,’ which is set to be released this summer. The actor will also make his mark in the Nigerian theatre later this year as part of the D’Banj-inspired Afrobeat play ‘Oliva Tweest,’ which will be debuting in Nigeria as part of the Lagos Theatre Festival.
