Youth Wing of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has call on the Federal Government to withdraw the anti-grazing law passed by Benue and Taraba States Governors.

The Youth also called on Government to come to the aid of the Fulani and save the ethnic group from annihilation.

The association made this known in a statement issued at the end of its extra ordinary meeting in Kaduna State on Monday, by its National Youth Leader, Modibo Abdulkareem Bayero.

The statement alleged that the Fulani has been subjected to blackmail and intimidation by some farming communities across the country.

He noted that thousands of Fulani Youths who reared cattle as their occupational activity have been placed on uncertainty as their livestock in Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba and Kaduna states have been ransacked by local farmers.

He also called on the Federal Government to enforce state of emergency in Benue State where they alleged the governor has recruited private security outfit to invade Nomads settlement and rustle their livestock.

He urged for the creation of livestock ministry to cater for abundant livestock products owned by Fulani in Nigeria as the utmost solution to the incessant conflicts in the country.
