The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), Abuja branch, has elected Mr Alex Okosun, as the branch’s chairman.
The chapter also elected other new executives to pilot the affairs of the institute for the next two years.
The election, which took place in Abuja, elected seven other executives which include, Nasiru Bashir, Vice Chairman and Adekunle Adegbuwagun as the General Secretary.
In his acceptance speech, Okosun pledged to encourage team work and transparent leadership towards making the branch a model in the northern part of the country.
He also pledged that efforts would be made to make CILT viable in Abuja and explore the potential that abound in the Nigerian transport industry.
Okosun called for cooperation of members to enable the institute deliver on its mandate on professionalization of logistics and transport in the country.
