The Kano Shari’a Court No. 2 sitting at Kofar Kudu, has remanded a ward head, Jamilu Danladi, accused of defrauding a man he bailed who was charged with breach of trust and fraud.
The police had earlier arraigned Abdullahi Muhammad for fraud after he collected N2 million from a complainant on the pretext of cultivating some farm produce on his behalf but ended up diverting the money for personal use.
The court ordered Muhammad to pay the money and the farm produce and was admitted to bail secured by Danladi.
However, the ward head of an unknown address continued collecting the money and farm produce Muhammad was paying back as he prevented him from going to court.
