Ekiti State police command has arraigned one Charles Nwakwo at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged indiscriminate display of hair attachments, weave-on, shampoo and conditioners on the roadside.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant on December 18 at about 2pm at Ado-Ekiti, did beset the premises of a plaza in Ado-Ekiti and deprives the owner from using the place.
Inspector Oriyomi added that on the same date, time and place within the Magisterial District, the defendant did conduct himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace in a public place.
The prosecutor pointed out that the offence committed is punishable under Section 80(1) of the Ekiti State Environmental Health Sanitation (Re- Enactment) Law 2020, Section 288(c), 181(1)(d), of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Amil-Tope Salami, urged the court to grant his client bail in liberal terms, which magistrate Abayomi Adeosun, granted in the sum of N20,000 with one surety and adjourned the case till January 13, for hearing.
