The Deputy Governor of Bauchi State Mohammed Auwal Jatau has assured of the readiness of the state government towards providing the necessary support for the full actualisation of Kolmani Oil Exploration.
Speaking to journalists when he led members of the Crude Oil Committee of the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Allocation Commission (RMFAC) to inspect the level of progress at the Kolmani Oil Field, Auwal Jatau promised that the state government will support the construction firms to work effectively.
Jatau also assured that the Bauchi state government will work in close collaboration with both the Federal Government through the NNPCL and all stakeholders involved to see the full actualization of Kolmani Integrated Oil Filed for the economic development of the state, neighbouring states and the country in general.
“As a government, we have already assured the federal government and whoever is working here, be it a company or multilateral of our wholistic support be it security, social amenities and logistics. This has been our stand right from the day that the idea of the development of Kolmani was conceived through to this day,” Deputy Governor Jatau said.

In his remarks,, the Acting Chairman RMFAC crude oil committee, Engr. Hassan Mahmoud said the visit became necessary because of the potential of discovered crude oil deposits at the field to contribute significantly to the revenue pulse of the nation and bemoaned the delay in the actualisation of full-scale lifting of crude oil from the Kolmani Integrated Oil Filed years after its inauguration.
