“These stories have contributed greatly to enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples and enhancing friendship between China and Nigeria,” he said.

Wenfei added that Xinhua News Agency is willing to continue to enhance cooperation and exchanges with the Nigerian media, working together to help the China-Nigeria friendship last forever.

“China-Nigeria relations have entered a new stage of comprehensive strategic partnership. Let us work together to fulfil the responsibilities of media and enterprises, better tell the story of the China-Nigeria friendship, and spread the voice of the China-Nigeria friendship,” he said.

The news photo exhibition covers all historical periods of China’s revolution, construction and reform, focusing on a series of major events and key nodes recorded in history from the perspective of journalism and social changes.

The Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy and Director of the China Cultural Centre in Nigeria (CCCN), Mr Yang Jianxing, said through them, Nigerians can understand how many hardships and twists the Chinese people passed through in the past 100 years to achieve its current status.
