Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation-Americas (NiDOA) has pledged to deepen partnership with the Federal Government to advance job creation and foster economic growth in Nigeria’s micro-economic sector.
Dr Victor Ubani, Continental Chair of NiDOA and Coordinating Chairman of NiDO Worldwide, disclosed this in a statement, against the backdrop of the NiDOA-2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Conference.
The event with the theme: New Nigeria: Fresh progress, vision of united NiDO” was attended by 75 people from Nov. 22 to 24, in the U.S.
Ubani said, “The theme of the conference underscores NiDO’s commitment to fostering unity, driving economic growth, and creating opportunity for jobs in the country.

“Our goal is targeted at fostering partnerships and collaborations, creating jobs, and advancing economic growth in Nigeria’s micro-economic sector.”
Ubani in the statement quoted Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), to have urged NiDOA to continue to advance unity among compatriots abroad.
Also, she reiterated the importance of unity among NiDOA members to strengthen the organisation’s influence and impact.
“President Bola Tinubu is ready to work with the Diaspora and we must seize this opportunity,” Dabiri-Erewa said.
He said that the organisation had during the AGM unanimously approved the election of Board of Trustees members as follows – Mrs Bukola Sonuga as Vice-Chairman and Dr Toyin Ajayi as Secretary-General.
Also, Mr Felix Okhifo was elected as Community Affairs Director, Dr Helen Abasute as treasurer and Dr Perpetua Uwechue as Financial Secretary.
