Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has appointed 21 professors to head the local education authorities in the state.
The appointments were announced by the chairman of the state Universal Basic Education Board, Professor Suleiman Khalid, on Wednesday.
Khalid listed the professors as, Ibrahim Hussaini Aliero, Aliero LEA; Lawal Alkali Argungu, Argungu LEA; Garba Kangiwa, Arewa LEA; Aminu Mohammed Bayawa, Augie; Abdulkadir Abdullahi Bagudo, Bagudo; Ahmad Sanusi, Birnin Kebbi; Mohammed D. Bunza, Bunza; Sumaila Kyangakwai Ahmed, Dandi; R.S.U Wasagu, Wasagu; and Alhassan Danladi Isah, Fakai.
Others are Mohammed Bello Shall, Gwandu; Umar Dantani Jega, Jega; Kasimu Shehu, Kalgo; Abubakar Danbaba, Koko/Besse; Balarabe Adamu Isa, Mayama; Umar A Birnin Yauri, Ngaski; Mairo Danjuma, Sakaba; Abdulbasit Ahmad Atuwo, Shanga; Mohammed Aminu Umar, Suru; Musa Abubakar Yelwa, Yauri; and Sani Dantani Manga, Zuru.

Commenting on the appointments, the Commissioner for Information, Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, said it was aimed at sustaining the momentum of reform initiated by the governor.
