Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has visited the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, over the Kolmani Integrated Development Project in the state.
Ismaila Uba Misilli, the Spokesman to the Governor, in a statement disclosed that the visit to the NNPCL by Governor Yahaya was to leverage the strategic position of the state as a hub for oil and gas activities in the North.
He said the meeting was a continuation of several engagements between the governor and the NNPCL leadership, both in his capacity as governor of Gombe State and as Chairman of the Northern State Governors’ Forum (NSGF).
Misilli said the governor visited the NNPCL GMD in his quest to ensure that his state remains a vital player in Nigeria’s energy and economic sector.
