Man arrested over theft of handset in judge’s chamber

The police in Kano have arrested a man who allegedly stole a mobile phone from the judges’ chamber of a Federal High Court on Miller Road, Nassarawa LGA of Kano State 

The man, simply identified as Abdullahi Kwanar Jaba, was suspected of sneaking into the chamber during a court session presided over by Justice Maryam Sabo.

Daily Trust gathered that upon his entry, he saw a mobile phone at a charging point and decided to take it away.

The man was not so lucky as a woman in the chamber saw him when he removed the phone and immediately alerted the court staff who stopped and searched him.

He was handed over to the police for further investigation.
