Executive Chairman, Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Grace Adagba, at the weekend monitored ongoing projects implemented under the UBEC/SUBEB 2022-2023 Matching Grant.
In a statement, Akese Emmanuella, Information Officer, Benue SUBEB, said the exercise, conducted on Friday and Saturday, aimed to ensure that contractors comply with implementation standards.
Adagba, accompanied by the Board’s Management team, UBEC State Coordinator and the SUBEB Project Design and Monitoring Committee, visited multiple project sites to assess progress.
Expressing satisfaction with the presence and work of contractors, she charged them to adhere strictly to project specifications.

“The Executive Chairman further directed Kyabiz Nigeria Limited to comply with design specifications within 48 hours, while Gemfat Nigeria Limited and Shekbright Nig. Ltd. should return to site within 48 hours or have their contracts revoked.
“While salcorn concepts has been directed to improve on their speed of work.
“Additionally, the SUBEB Boss directed all contractors to erect project signboards within 48 hours or will have that element of the bill deducted from their payments,” the statement added.
