Three suspected bandits’ corpses have been ablaze by a mob at Kurmin-Kare village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
City & Crime had reported that soldiers last Saturday, raided a bandits’ den, killing three bandits and rescued six villagers abducted from neighbouring Mai-Iddo village on November, 9, 2024.
A community leader from the area confirmed the incident to our reporter over the phone on Sunday.
He said the three corpses were among some of the bandits that fled with bullet inquiries.

He said some hunters who discovered the corpses had reported back to the village, after which an irate mob mobilized and headed to the forest and set the corpses ablaze.
According to him, the corpses were riddled with bullets, which convinced the mob they were among the bandits that fled during an encounter with soldiers at their hideout in Kurmin-Kare.
He also disclosed that a suspected bandits’ informant was apprehended at SCC village market last Thursday, in the area.
He said the suspect, who came to the market to buy some items for the bandits, was arrested after the soldiers received intelligence information about him.
A security source who preferred anonymity also confirmed the recovery of the three decomposed corpses of the bandits, which he said were set ablaze by a mob in the area.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, was yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing the report.
