During the meeting, Dr. Akabe expressed his disappointment over the Solid Miners’ inconsistent performance in the league, particularly the recent loss to Kwara United, which he deemed unacceptable.

“This meeting is necessitated by the loss on Sunday to Kwara United. His Excellency, the Governor and my principal, is very upset about this and has directed me to convene this meeting to find a way through for our Club.

“The loss and poor run of form by the Club is totally unacceptable, and we must take drastic measures to restore our team’s competitiveness. We will work round the clock to ensure that our players and team members receive the best support and resources to excel”, he said.

Our correspondent also reports that parts of the key discussion points centred on improving the strategy, player motivation, welfare, and changing the coaching tactics and decision-making.
