Hunters have reportedly discovered two corpses suspected to be those of the bandits that fled soldiers’ onslaught at Kurmin-Kare forest in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
City & Crime had reported that three bandits were reportedly gunned down during a gun battle between them and soldiers at Mai-Iddo village last Saturday, following a raid on the bandits’ hideout in which four abducted farmers, including a female, were rescued.
A community leader from the area confirmed the discovery of the corpses by hunters over the phone on Tuesday.
He said two hunters from neigbouring Kurmin-Kare village found the two corpses on a rocky hill in the area on Monday.

“It was the village chief from the area who came to my place this afternoon and told me that two corpses suspected to be among the fleeing bandits from Mai-Iddo village were found in the forest by hunters,” he said.
According to him, the two corpses were riddled with bullets.
The spokesman of the state police command, ASP Hassan Mansur, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
