The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State, has given the immediate past rector of the institution, Dr Abdul Abubakar Dzukogi, a 10-day ultimatum to appear before it to clarify some grey areas on his eight years stewardship in the polytechnic.
The Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Ismail Muazu Hassan, made this known in Bida while briefing journalists after the rector failed to appear for exit interview.
Alhaji Isamail said the former rector had earlier been invited by the council, but did not honour the invitation, citing health challenges and short notice as reasons.
The chairman, however, explained that in a bid to ensure fair hearing, members of the governing council had granted the request by the former rector requesting for an extension of date, saying that he had been given 10 days within which he must appear to clear contending issues.
