The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has partnered Edtech companies to ensure unrestricted access to high-quality digital basic education contents and tools in Nigeria.
The Executive Secretary of UBEC, Dr Hamid Bobboyi, stated this while speaking at the opening of Edtech Festival with the theme, ‘Building Ed-Tech for Learning and Profit’, and ‘Experiencing the Future of Learning’, held at the UBEC Digital Resource Centre, Abuja.
He said the commission will continue to work side-by-side with Edtech to achieve its mandate.
Dr Bobboyi, who was represented by the National Coordinator of the UBEC Digital Resource Centre, Prof. Bashir Galadanci, noted that the festival, which was organised by UBEC in collaboration with the Co-Creation Hub (CC), was to showcase innovative educational technology (EdTech) solutions designed to address fundamental challenges in the education system, particularly in underserved areas.
