Lion Evelyn Bassey has been inaugurated as the 4th President of the Abuja Mega Lions Club in a ceremony attended by members and community leaders in Abuja.
In her acceptance speech at the weekend, Bassey expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her and acknowledged the remarkable leadership of her predecessors.
“I stand on the shoulders of giants,” she stated, acknowledging the legacy of service that shapes the club.
She outlined her ambitious agenda for the year, focusing on three key areas: Healthcare, hunger relief, and youth empowerment.

Bassey also unveiled plans to enhance the Primary Health Center in Kuchingoro to ensure better access to healthcare for vulnerable residents.
“No one, especially children, should go to bed hungry,” she added, detailing initiatives to provide nutritional support to families in need.
Meanwhile, the outgoing President, Lion Folashade Olaifa, reflected on her tenure with pride, stressing the successful renovation of LEA Primary School in Saburi, which received commendation from the Universal Basic Education Commission.
