Flood: Edo govt asks residents to move to safer ground

The Edo State Commissioner for Public Safety and Security, Kingsley Uwagbale, has charged residents in flood-prone areas to move to higher ground and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps.

Uwagbale, who disclosed this in Benin City, said the state government had released N300 million worth of relief materials to support flood victims in the state.

He also urged the residents not to wait for a crisis but to move to safer areas.
