Amotekun arrests man over motorcycle theft at Osun mosque

The Osun State Security Network Agency also known as Amotekun Corps has arrested a 28-year-old man, Rasheed Abdullahi, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle. 

Abdullahi was arrested in his hideout at Ila Orangun by Amotekun operatives with the unregistered Bajaj motorcycle.

The suspect said the owner of the motorcycle went into a mosque to pray and that he stole the motorcycle before the owner came out from the mosque.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he stole the motorcycle at Omu-Aran in Kwara State and then brought it to Osun State. 

The Amotekun Corps Commander in the state, Omoyele Issac, said the owner of the motorcycle had been contacted and he had come to identify it. 

Omoyele said the case would be transferred to Kwara State for prosecution after investigation.
