A farmer, Yusuf Kankomi, on Tuesday, denied allegation of assaulting his wife before a Shari’a court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna, saying he had never laid a finger on her.
The defendant also stated that he provided food for his wife and even gave some of the food to the less privileged as alms due to excess.
He added that he never disrespected his wife’s parents as he believed they were also his parents.
