The Yobe State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (SEMSAS) has saved over 1000 lives after responding to 930 emergencies calls in the last 12 months.
The Executive Secretary of the agency, Malam Abdullahi Danchua, stated this to newsmen in Damaturu.
Danchua said the state recorded 14 mortalities out of the number within the first 48 hours at the treatment facilities.

He said the agency was established in 2023 to coordinate emergency medical services in the state.

He said the agency was aimed at providing 24 hours emergency health services in the four LGAs of the state.
