Adamawa Leading the Way in Rural Development and Empowerment – Gov’s aide

Principal Special Assistant to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Media and Communication, Mr George Kushi, has said Adamawa state is leading the way in rural development and empowerment.

Kushi said this during the third quarter media parley held in Yola, the state capital.

He highlighted the administration’s achievements, showcasing how rural communities are benefiting from the government’s initiatives.

“Agriculture is experiencing a significant boom in Adamawa State, with electricity, rural roads, and medical facilities being established at an unprecedented pace,” Kushi revealed.

“This has led to a decline in rural-urban drift, as people are now finding opportunities and amenities in their own communities.”

He said Fintiri’s administration has also implemented a N70,000 minimum wage, a move that has been praised nationwide. Additionally, the “Fintiri Wallet” empowerment program has supported over 20,000 beneficiaries, enabling women and youths to establish petty businesses and cater to their families.

He noted that the state government has also invested heavily in infrastructure and transportation.

Road networks linking rural areas are being constructed, while the “Fresh Air” buses have provided affordable public transport, benefiting academic institutions and the general public.

“Security has also improved significantly, with the security issue posed by local ruffians, known as “shilla boys,” decreasing drastically.”

“Governor Fintiri’s promise of “no one left behind and nothing left untouched” seems to be holding true, as accolades continue to pour in from all corners. Adamawa State under Governor Fintiri’s leadership is setting the pace for others to follow.

“We are committed to ensuring that every citizen benefits from our policies and programs.”
