A former Nigerian international, Moses Kpakor, has hailed the appointment of Daniel Amokachi, as the best thing that has happened to the club in recent years.
The former Super Eagles forward and 1994 AFCON winner was appointed by the board of Lobi Stars to replace Coach Eugene Agagbe who was recently relieved of his duties following poor results.
Lobi Stars presently have four points from one win, one draw and three losses in the present campaign to occupy the 17 position on the log.
However, Kpakor is confident that Amokachi ‘Da Bull’ will use his technical acumen to return Lobi Stars to winning ways.

“Since the news broke everywhere on social media that Daniel Ameh-Okachi was appointed Technical Adviser of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi, I have been brainstorming on what my reactions would be and how it should also be, considering expectations from soccer fans across the world to hear from me.
“Besides, both of us come from Benue State and played together for the Super Eagles from 1990 to 1993 when I retired from international football.
“The Bull’s appointment as Technician Adviser of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi is the best thing that has happened to the club in recent decades.
“He has not only the ability and knowledge of the game, he also has the charisma, guts and impetus to take the club to heights unimaginable.
“Besides, he is massively experienced in coaching and knows the psychology of players as he once was a player himself.
“I have no doubt in his ability to take Lobi Stars to greater heights. Dan has my full support any time, any day. I wish him success, and he is welcome home,” said kpakor.
Amokachi’s debut as coach of Lobi Stars will be against Niger Tornadoes in Minna on Sunday.
