Flood: Ex-CJ advises Gombe farmers on food conservation

Following the devastating flood experienced in the North East this year, a farmer, and former Gombe State Chief Justice, Abdulkadir Mu’azu Pindiga (rtd), has cautioned farmers in the region on the conservation of farm produce.

Justice Abdulkadir, who is the Sarkin Noman Nigeria and Katukan Pindiga, while commiserating with farmers over their losses, also called on them to properly conserve their farm produce now because the next farming seasons is several months ahead.

He commended the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the prompt provision of fertiliser to state governors for onward distribution to farmers, especially Gombe State governor who ensured transparency in the distribution.

While also commiserating with Vice President Kashim Shettima over the tragic flooding, he commended his prompt response to the event and prayed against future occurrence.
