Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris, prince of Zazzau and son of the immediate late Emir, Shehu Idris, has been laid to rest.
The funeral prayer led by Mallam Balarabe Yahaya Mukaddas was attended by people from all walks of life. It held at the Emir’s palace in Zaria.
Umar Idris who held the traditional title of Dan Isan Zazzau was also the Assistant Secretary to the Zazzau Emirate Council died on Tuesday.
The deceased lost his father, the 18th Fulani Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Shehu Idris, four years back while his mother, Habiba Shehu Idris, died 39 days ago.

Born in 1983 at the Zazzau Palace in Zaria, Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris attended Therbow School, GRA, Zaria; Hassan Ibrahim Secondary School, Gwarzo, Kano; bagged his first degree at the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance at the Ahmadu Bello University (A.B.U), Zaria.
