Nasarawa civil servants charged to emulate out-going perm sec, Danladi

The Nasarawa State Head of Civil Service, Abigail Waya, has charged Civil Servants in the state to emulate the out-going Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Barrister Isaac Danladi, who served the state with utmost dedication and commitment.

She gave the charge over the weekend at the farewell party in honour of the former Chairman of Nasarawa United football club who has bowed out after 35 years of meritorious service to the state.

Waya said civil servants in the state should always strive to put in their best while in active service in order to leave lasting legacies that they would be remembered for after retirement.

She, therefore, appreciated Danladi for his invaluable service to the Sport Ministry and the state in general, saying that his qualities would undoubtedly guide him in his future endeavours.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Jafaru Ango, also showered accolades on the out-going Permanent Secretary for working so hard for the success of the Ministry.

While describing Danladi as the pillar of the Ministry who is humble and a team player, Ango urged other staff of the Ministry to be dedicated to their assignments.

On his part, Danladi in an emotion-laden voice, extended deep appreciation to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State for giving him the opportunity to serve in many capacities up to the position of Permanent Secretary.

He also acknowledged the mentorship and support from the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, and others too numerous to mention, while he was in service.

Danladi said he was leaving the service of Nasarawa State a fulfilled man.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of an award to the out-going Permanent Secretary by the Nasarawa State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), for his great contributions to sports development in the state.
