Faith Morey’s Okachi Charity Foundation Empowers Young Girls in the North with 240 Sanitary Pads

In a heartfelt act of support for young girls, humanitarian and philanthropist, Faith Morey through her non-profit organization, Okachi Charity Foundation, recently conducted an outreach at Madaral Satul Tahfizul Quaran-Wal Walilmal School, located in Hayata Badawa, Nassarawa Local Government Area.

The foundation distributed 240 sanitary pads to female students, aiming to address the critical issue of menstrual health management and improve the well-being of adolescent girls.

The initiative reflects the foundation’s mission to empower and uplift underprivileged communities, particularly focusing on the education and health of young women. By providing sanitary pads, the Charity Okachi Foundation is helping reduce the stigma and barriers that girls often face during their menstrual cycle, ensuring they can attend school confidently and uninterrupted.

“We are committed to creating opportunities for young girls to thrive, both in their education and personal lives. Menstrual hygiene is a right, not a privilege,” said a team member of the organization, while addressing the students. “Through these efforts, we hope to contribute to the brighter futures of these young girls.”

This outreach is one of several initiatives the Okachi Charity foundation has launched in Northern Nigeria, with plans to extend similar programs to other regions in the near future. The distribution of sanitary pads aims to reduce absenteeism among female students, which is a major concern in many rural communities.

The event was welcomed warmly by both students and school authorities, who praised the foundation for its continued support of education and female empowerment. Many of the girls expressed gratitude, sharing how access to basic hygiene products will have a positive impact on their daily lives and education.

The Okachi Charity Foundation continues to be a beacon of hope, championing education and opportunities for students across Nigeria.
