Kaduna launches 48 vehicles, bikes for TB, HIV programmes

Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, has commissioned and distributed 48 operational vehicles and motorcycles to enable effective community Tuberculosis and HIV case finding in the state.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of three strategic health policy documents and a public health law on Wednesday in Kaduna, the governor said the documents will positively impact the health and strengthen the health human resource, and epidemic preparedness and response in the state. 

According to him, the policy documents will also serve as guides for catering for the health of mothers, children, adolescents and the elderly.

Gov Sani explained that the  documents include the Kaduna State Public Health Law, One Health Strategic Plan, Human Resource for Health Policy And The Integrated Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent, Elderly Health, Plus Nutrition Strategy.

He said  the documents, when implemented, will lead to reduction of morbidity and mortality due to health related conditions in the state.

According to him, effective dissemination of these documents will put Kaduna State in good stead to effectively address challenges in health and health related conditions.
